A MAGIC: THE GATHERING FORMAT
You already know how to play Infinite Magic, you just don't know it yet. The rules are exactly the same as any other game of Magic, with a few exceptionally minor tweaks.
Infinite Magic delivers on one of the founding principles of Magic: The Gathering - that its FUN! Any card you draw, you can play (subject to normal timing restrictions). After all, you have infinite mana...
Infinite Magic games generally last between 10-30 minutes. It depends on how you construct your Infinite Magic deck - and number of players.
The four cardinal rules of Infinite Magic are outlined briefly below.
For more detailed information see the Rules page.
Here's a brief summary:
1. Starting life is 20.
2. Starting hand size is 3.
3. No one draws on their first turn.
4. You have infinite mana (of any color or colorless).
5. You may only play one spell from your hand each turn.
6. The library and graveyard are shared.
An Infinite Magic deck is communal, which is to say, everyone draws and plays from the same stack of cards. The same goes for the graveyard. Whenever a card refers to 'your' library or graveyard, it refers to these communal resources.
You may play one spell from your hand each turn. This includes other player's turns. And yes, just like the normal rules, exile is not included in 'from your hand'.
Each player draws an opening hand of three cards from the shared library, and no player draws a card in the first round.
As a casual, multiplayer format, Infinite Magic is intended for fun, not competition. If you find any cards in your deck 'unfun' - DITCH THEM!
